**Changes to Summer Tour Schedules**

The Anderson Collection has a busy summer leading up to the September launch of the museum’s 10th Anniversary year! These preparations affect the museum’s open hours and tour schedules as detailed below.

Note that there will be no tours of any kind from August 19 to September 22.

PUBLIC TOURS

Highlights Tours

Highlights tours are offered every Saturday and Sunday at 12:30pm and 2:30pm

Join a 45-to-60-minute tour led by a museum engagement guide exploring highlighted works in the Anderson Collection. Meet your guide at the top of the stairs.

Note: there will be no Highlights tours from August 3 to September 22. Highlights tours resume Saturday, September 28.

Spotlight Tours

Spotlight Tours are offered on Thursdays at 12:00pm and 12:30pm

Join a 15-minute tour led by a museum engagement guide exploring one object in the Anderson Collection. Meet your guide at the top of the stairs.

Note: there will be no Spotlight tours from August 19 to September 19. Spotlight tours resume Thursday, September 26.

MUSEUM TOUR GUIDELINES

• Please confirm all tours with our Visitor Experience staff when you check in at the information desk. Tours may be subject to change or cancellation.
• Public tours do not require registration.
• All public tours are free of charge.
• If you have more than 10 visitors in your group, please register for a Private Museum Engagement Guide Tour or a Self-Guided Group Tour. Please see below for more information about scheduling Private and Self-Guided Group Tours.

PRIVATE TOURS

School Group Tours (K-12)

The Anderson Collection welcomes all grade levels to enhance their classroom curriculum by exploring the museum’s collection and special exhibitions.

We are currently offering in-person private museum engagement guide tours for school groups. We ask that you submit your guided visit request at least six weeks in advance of your desired date so we can secure a guide. You can also schedule a self-guided group tour for up to 20 students with less lead time. As you select preferred dates, please keep in mind the museum is closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Schools can also schedule a Virtual Guided Visit.

Private Museum Engagement Guide Tours

Tour the Anderson Collection with a highly trained museum engagement guide or Stanford student guide. We ask that you submit your guided visit request at least six weeks in advance of your desired date so we can secure a guide. As you select preferred dates, please keep in mind the museum is closed Mondays and Tuesdays. If you have special interests, please let us know when you schedule your tour.

Self-guided Group Tours

Self-guided group tours allow you to lead your group of up to 20 visitors through the museum at your own pace. Whether you are a family, school, professional, or social group, access your own curiosity to experience the Anderson Collection independently.

Stanford Class Tours

Stanford faculty and instructors are invited to bring their classes to the Anderson Collection for tours and special class sessions, both virtually and in-person.

VIRTUAL GUIDED VISITS

Book a Virtual Guided Visit and enjoy the museum from wherever you are.

We are happy to offer your group a virtual guided visit conducted via Zoom.
The virtual guided visit may include a general tour of the museum and major highlights of the collection, and last up to 45 minutes.
We offer virtual guided visits for schools and community groups.

Request Process

We ask that you submit your virtual guided visit request at least four weeks in advance of your desired date. You will receive an email confirming that your date and time are available, and that your virtual guided visit has been scheduled.
