A two-part exploration of depictions of Latin American and border cultures through the moving image and sound

Ore-Giron presented the film Chulas Fronteras. This 1976 documentary, directed by Les Blank, explores the Chicano experience through the lives and music of the Norteño musicians of the Texas-Mexican border. Eamon Ore-Giron introduced the film, discussed its relevance to his practice as an artist and musician, and hosted a Q&A session at the close of the screening.
