Raúl O. Paz Pastrana’s film, Border South, captures some of the experiences that hundreds of thousands of migrants suffer in their quest to reach the United States. Through the emotionally charged migrant experience, Paz Pastrana captures the realities of an immigration system that removes identity, and the immense cost that most migrants pay in search for a better life.

The film also references the Undocumented Migration Project, an effort to collect and catalog artifacts left behind by migrants in the Arizona desert. This film is presented in conjunction with the forthcoming exhibition Hostile Terrain 94.
