Student Ayoade Balogun ’21 will be in conversation with African and African American Studies Associate Director Dr. Katie Dieter. This event features a discussion and workshop based around the work of sculptor Simone Leigh. Using Leigh’s work as a launching point, event attendees will engage with themes of cross-cultural influences, the use of materials, and Black women’s intellectual traditions in visual art. Leigh’s work is currently on display at the Anderson Collection as part of the Formed and Fired exhibition.
