Ever wondered what it's like to install hundreds o Ever wondered what it's like to install hundreds of ceramic bowls?

Check out this behind-the-scenes glimpse of the installation for “1,000 Ways to Hold: A New Work by Erika Chong Shuch,” @erkachong, at the Anderson Collection. Hundreds of participants came together for this project—developed through Stanford Arts’ 2025–26 Visiting Artist program—which invited people across Stanford’s campus and the greater community to create ceramic bowls together while reflecting on a simple but powerful question: “What have you held, and what has held you?”

The culmination of the project, a collective artwork that includes the finished bowls and recorded reflections from participants, will be on view starting Thursday April, 2nd. Don’t miss it!
