Join us for a special conversation between Eamon Ore-Giron, the 2020-22 Stanford Presidential Visiting Artist, and Jason Linetzky, director of the Anderson Collection. Ore-Giron will discuss his practice and newest body of work on view at the Anderson Collection from Sept. 23, 2021 – Feb. 20, 2022.

This event will take place in-person outside, on the lawn between the Anderson Collection and the Cantor Arts Center. Seating is limited (feel free to bring a picnic blanket!).

The museum will stay open until 8 pm and registration is required for all visitors to the museum. You are strongly encouraged to register prior to Oct. 1.

As we return to in-person gatherings, the health and safety of our visitors and staff are our highest priority. Face coverings are required inside all areas of the museum and at crowded outdoor events where 6 feet of physical distance cannot be maintained.

In the Stanford tradition of providing a home for art and artists who advance the dialogue on contemporary issues, the Anderson Collection at Stanford University and the Institute for Diversity in the Arts host visual artist Eamon Ore-Giron for the 2020-2022 Presidential Residency on the Future of the Arts. Ore-Giron’s extended two-year residency is due to the pandemic, which prevented the artist from fully realizing the program’s goals.

This program is in concert with the exhibition Eamon Ore-Giron: Non Plus Ultra.
